  2. If lemon juice isn’t working or you don’t have any at home, you can also try Witch Hazel. Available from most chemists, this natural plant extract may even be lying around in your medical cabinet. This is another fantastic fake tan remover for small areas.
  3. If the first two steps haven’t worked, here’s how to remove fake tan the foolproof way. Hydrogen Peroxide is often used to disinfect cuts and is sold at most pharmacies.  When you purchase this product, be sure to ask the chemist for some advice, as excess use can result in skin irritations, which is the last thing you want to cause! Be careful to only use small amounts on small areas of skin, but this product can help to remove any of those patchy fake tan disasters.
  4. This sounds strange, but milk is a fantastic fake tan remover, as the lactic acid helps to break down fake tan chemicals! Exfoliating the skin is a fantastic way to remove the last of a fake tan, however is not ideal for removing errors on a fresh spray tan. You are just likely to create an even more patchy appearance if you scrub away at your tan. That said, when you have a small amount of tan left all over your body, taking a long bath and exfoliating with a gentle loofah is the best way to remove fake tan and restore your skin to it’s natural state.
